WRC Germany: Positions 4 and 9 for Ford
(bke) After having had a difficult race on bumpy asphalt roads Mikko Hirvonen and Jari-Matti Latvala reached only positions 4 and 9 at the World Rallye in Germany. Thus Sébastian Loeb (Citroen), who won the race in Trier for the seventh time in row, got ahead of the BP Ford team and now is on first position in the overall standing. Dani Sordo (Citroen) came in second followed by Francois Duval (Stobart-Ford).
"I drive absolutely at the limit", said Sébastian Loeb after his victory in Trier, "because Mikko Hirvonen is putting on enormous pressure." About. 270,000 enthusiastic spectators lined the narrow track through the vineyards along the Moselle. The outstanding five races will remain thrilling particularly because Mikko Hirvonen is preferring gravel grounds. The next race will take place from August 28 until 31 in New Zealand.
