Positions 2 and 3 for Ford at the Rallye Argentina
(bke) Marcus Grönholm and Mikko Hirvonen made positions two and three with their Ford Focus RS at the World Rally Championship in Argentina. Sébastian Loeb (Citroen) came in first.
The opening speed test took place in the River-Plate-Stadium in Buenos Aires, 700 km far from the original venue. Problems with the air traffic control and bad weather led to cancellation of mostly all valuation tests from Friday. Sunday night the service park was flooded. The crossing of the more than 25 water fords, fog and rocky, winding slopes demand the complete competence from the drivers in the 2,200 high Traslasierra mountains.

The total result remains unchanged after the sixth race of the season. Ford leads as team, Markus Grönholm and Mikko Hirvonen came in second and third in the manufacturers' championship.

The next rallye will take place from May 18 until 20 at Sardinia (Italy).
