World rallye Turkey: Positions 1 and 2 for Ford
(bke) Double for Ford: Mikko Hirvonen won the World Rally Championship in Turkey, his team mate Jari-Matti Lavala came in second. Sébastian Loeb (Citroen) came in third. Succeeding in this race Mikko Hirvonen is leading again in the drivers' standing. Ford is also on first position with nine points ahead in the manufacturers's standing.
The race took place in the Anatolian mountains around Kemer which is a popular vacation resort in Turkey: The daily temperatures were at approx. 34°C. The eighth WRC round was also the 100th race with the Ford Focus RS since 2002. During that time Ford achieved 27 victories and 85 podium wins!

The next ralle will take place from August 1 until 3 in Finland, the home country of Mikko Hirvonen and Jari-Matti Lavala.
